Statement by David Haigh on Jake Daniels of Blackpool FC coming out as Gay
I was delighted to be invited to be part of BBC Radio Cornwall’s 30 Lives series. The 30 Lives programme celebrates BBC Radio Cornwall’s 30th birthday by speaking to 30 people who grew up and were educated in Cornwall and have “gone on to make an impact in the world.”
It was a bit like traveling back in time because I had worked in radio as a teenager in Cornwall, for BBC Radio Cornwall Sports Scene in fact. It was fun talking about my school days and life in Cornwall and remembering the School cross country run along the cliffs!
