December marked the one year anniversary of the acquisiton and the end to an incredible year at Leeds United. There have been many changes at Elland Road in the past 12 months; Not only have we seen some excellent games but we have also joined some vitally important causes.
This year, Leeds United were the first UK club to join BeyondIt and Stonewall’s ‘Diversity Champions Programme’. As a result of these collaborations, Leeds took their place at the forefront of the movement to stamp out discrimination in the sport and hopefully other clubs will soon follow our lead.
In 2013 we also reduced the price of season tickets and we introduced half season tickets to give Leeds fans more access and opportunities to support the club. We’ve put the fans at the heart of everything we do and as a result fans have been attending Elland Road in their droves. Their support for the club has been overwhelming with some games having over 31,000 fans in the stadium. I am confident that in 2014 this support will continue to grow and maybe we can beat that statistic.
For our 1st anniversary, we put together this great film to celebrate. Let me know if you spot yourself!
Marching on Together!
